HOW TO: Add Copy to folder & Move to folder in Right Context Menu

Hi, We are using the right context menu for reduced the time of searching in computer. If some files have to send to the Removable disk or CD ROM then we specially use Send To option on right click context menu. Today I have talking about the idea to add “Copy to folder” & “Move to folder” options on right click context menu as below screenshot.

Caution: This article is all about editing your registry. So keep the backup of your registry to be safe side.

Lets begin the steps:
1. Open Registry Editor by Start > Run > Type ‘regedit’ without quotas > and Hit Enter.
2. Now go to this location carefully.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

3. Right click on ContextMenuHandlers and Select New > Key.

4. Give key name ‘Copy To’ without quotas.
5. Repeat Step 3 again and Give key name ‘Move To’ without quotas.

6. Now Go to right pane of Copy To key, and double click on Default.
7. Put the following value and press OK.

8. Now Go to right pane of Move To key, and double click on Default and put the following value and press OK.

Now close the registry editor. You can now copy and move the files by right clicking on them. Now right click on some content you can see on there a screenshot as follows.
