1. Open the registry editor - <b><i>Start > Run > regedit</i></b><br />

2. Navigate to <i><b>HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft \ Windows\ CurrentVersion\Explorer</b></i><br />

3. Create two new <b>DWord Value</b> by right clicking and select "<b><i>New->DWORD value</i></b>" and name one as "<b><i>ThumbnailSize</i></b>" and other as "<b><i>ThumbnailQuality</i></b>" without quotas.<br />
<br />
4. Select Decimal Value and set values for both, <b>ThumbnailSize</b> can have values <b>32 - 256</b> and <b>Thumbnail Quaility</b> can have values <b>50 - 100.</b><br />

1. Open group policy editor Start > Run > Type 'gpedit.msc' without quotas > Hit Enter.<br />

6. Again double click on it and set its value to '<b>Not Configure</b>' > <b>OK</b><br />

7. Now quickly Go to <b>Start > Run </b>> Type <b>'regedit</b>' without quotas and Hit enter your registry editor will be opened.<br />

<b>Second Way | Using Run Command</b><br />

You can use run command for re-enable your registry editor. For that:<br />
1. Go to Start > Run<br />
2. Now copy the following code and paste it in to run box as following screenshot.<br />

<b>Third Way | By removing regedit.com files</b><br />

Sometime due to a virus named '<b>W32.Navidad'</b> creates a dummy file of 0 Byte of size which replaces the regedit.exe file on drive. So when they replace the original file then it will be opened while we want open registry editor. By removing that type of file we can access to registry editing tools.<br />

2. Make sure 'regedit' file is '.com' or zero byte dummy file. <br />
3. If so, then delete it permanently.<br />

If some files have to send to the Removable disk or CD ROM then we specially use <b>Send To</b> option on right click context menu. 4. Give key name ‘<b>Copy To</b>’ without quotas.<br />
5. Repeat Step 3 again and Give key name ‘<b>Move To</b>’ without quotas.<br />
